The great earthquake[]
On April 18, 1906 the coast of Northern California was struck by a major earthquake with an estimated moment magnitude of 7.9 early in the morning. 3,000 people died in the event. Geologists chalked it up to the San Andreas Fault Line however the Wei Yan group said it was because of an Guardian of Mystic Bell was forced to ring the bell under distress. He died however from his death Wei Yan group was formed and they vowed to protect the bell so nothing like the Earthquake would happen again.
