Kung Fu: The Movie is a 1986 made-for-television film and the first in a series of sequels which continued the story of the Shaolin monk, Kwai Chang Caine, first introduced in the 1972–1975 television series Kung Fu.
The events of this film, as well as the story from Kung Fu: The Next Generation, were not considered as canon for the sequel series Kung Fu: The Legend Continues.
